Questions & Answers with Neil Hogan #8.0.6

Q. What kind of beginners guitar music do you have at Totally Guitars?

A. As far as beginners guitar music is concerned, we are still accumulating and assembling our material and sorting it into a logical progression of lessons. Some of the things I like to have beginners focus on are hand and body positions, holding the guitar, holding the pick, and learning the names of the strings and notes. After that we will start working on chords and strums. I usually like to start with some easy power chords and learn a few classic rock songs like Sunshine Of Your Love and Smoke On The Water.

Some of the other lessons we are developing for beginners will include fingerstyle songs like House Of The Rising Sun, Dust In The Wind, and Landslide. Then we will explore some more intermediate classic rock songs like Don’t Fear The Reaper and From The Beginning.

Other specifics about lessons for beginners can be found at beginner guitar lessons.
