That was beautiful. You make it seem to simple to play the guitar. I could listen to that kind of music for hours. Thank you for sharing.

I just chanced upon this blog while looking for easy guitar lessons that I could use for my guitar starter class. I am amazed with the lessons Hal taught on Ukulele. Now, I know why you named this site totally guitars. Just an amazing site. Will be back for more lessons. Thank you.

I enjoyed your Demos and dialogs about John Fahey. We were friends, neighbors and school band buddies (John on clarinet & me on trumpet) in Takoma Park, MD from 1949 to 1955. We spent time discussing classical music and he was happy that I taught him to play pool at the Takoma pool hall over the bowling alley and next to the B & O tracks. I saw him a few times in Georgetown, DC, our parents homes in TP (one time we enjoyed a serving of his fathers ' White Lightning), at Santa Cruz and when He called me one afternoon to take him to his gig in a Monterey pub in 1994. He also put a wacko story about an invented conversation between us on the liner note for the albumn " JohnFahey visits Washington, DC".

So the Venture's eh Neil?

I'll have you know that brings me to full circle with a guitar. Pipeline was probably the very first song that I learned when I was an early teen.

One of the only regrets I have in my life, is that I didn't continue playing since then. Its frightful to think how good I may have been by now.

Amazing where Scotsmen turn up these days. Sounds a bit like an East coast Scots accent similar to mine, maybe further North though. When Ken is on the phone it sounds like he is talking Cole Clark's as he mentions Australian Bunya wood and Coles are the only ones to use that I believe. Great little store, shame we no longer have one like this in my town, it closed down a month ago.
