Q. Have you found or are you working on a complete guitar course?

A. I’m afraid I will have to be the bearer of some bad news here. I don’t believe there is any way to create any kind of complete guitar course. I think a student of any instrument must focus on general fundamentals first, then start specializing in techniques and exercises that are in styles they are interested in.

If a student decides they want to study classical guitar they might find the seven volume “complete” course but that will still only take them so far, along with taking many years to “complete”.

I guess I have a problem with the word complete in general because it implies that you reach a point of conclusion, meaning you are finished. You should never think you will finish your music education.
