Q. How much should I expect to learn in one acoustic guitar lesson?

A. I’m don’t know how much you can expect to learn in just one acoustic guitar lesson but I’m sure you will walk away with a lot of new information. I usually try to get a new student to understand a couple of basic things, like how the guitar is laid out and the names of the strings. Whether or not we get past that, I also like to have them start working on a few chords, just to have something to try that might sound a little like music.

Most of what you can learn in just one session is more dependent on what you do after the lesson and how much you review the material as soon as possible.
