Meet Me This Weekend For A LIVE Workshop…

Thursday, April 30th, 2009 by admin

Hey Gang,

After last Sunday’s webinar, many people have asked me to meet up online and do more webinars like that.

We had a lot of fun, so of course you know I can’t resist!
I realized though, that a lot of people could not make it on the live webinar.

So, here’s what I think we should do.

I want to hold another free, live webinar this weekend where I answer your questions and we can jam a little together too!

The thing is, I don’t know what time is best for YOU so…
So here’s a link to a quick survey to see when is the best time and day for you.

I’ll pick the one that the most people are comfortable with and we’ll be live this weekend.

Pick Your Time Here…

Also, the T.A.R.G.E.T. Program is finally available to the public!

The T.A.R.G.E.T. program is a culmination of my 40+ years of teaching guitar. I’ve created it so that every level of student is covered.

It’s kind of like if you were to walk into my school for lessons.
You’ll learn exactly what you need to learn whether you just bought
a guitar today -OR- you’ve been playing for 20 years or more!

You can take it for a test drive if you like, but only if you really want to learn to play songs…

TotallyGuitars Live! Parts 2 & 3

Tuesday, April 28th, 2009 by Neil

Hi Gang,

Here is a little more of our first live broadcast. The 1st one, Part 2 is a home version of the Fly On The Wall series as it was shot from a back-up camera during one of our technical glitches, but since it showed the drawing I wanted to share it with you. It gives you a real behind the scenes look at what was going on. The people around are my son Coree (with another video camera), my friend and our producer Bruce (who makes a cameo play along appearance in upcoming parts), Matt (our Aussie head honcho at TG, who mostly stayed off camera), and my daughter Lizzie (who dropped in to draw the winner and quickly vanished).

The 2nd one, Part 3 is another example of us dealing with dropouts and technical problems as well, although I had a little time to talk about James Taylor and the fingerpicking tune Anji before we lost the feed again.

Thanks again to everybody who dropped in on Sunday, and welcome to those who are seeing these for the first time.

Stay tuned and in touch,

Neil

Hi Gang,

Well, I sure had a great time yesterday. I really want to thank everybody for checking in, especially those who hung with us for all 5 and 1/2 hours! Of course we had a few technical glitches but managed to press on. We were able to record most of the broadcast and here is the 1st hour or so. I will work on more of this over the next few days and hope you enjoy it.

Saturday Update - TARGET Sneak Peak Video

Saturday, April 25th, 2009 by Neil

Hi Gang,

A few important things for today- First, the sneak preview I hoped to get to you yesterday is finished and below today’s video announcements. I hope you can take a look at it soon. Second, I want to thank the group of folks who have been helping us test-drive the TARGET Program and upcoming additions to the site. These people were randomly selected from our most active members and they have been really helpful. Some of their comments and reactions are posted below as well. As more things develop here we will always be on the lookout for active members to help us with certain projects. Thanks again guys!

Contest Update~
The Mystery Medley Contest will continue until the webinar, tomorrow,  April 26 at 4pm Eastern Time, 1PM Pacific. We have the first winner- dustystrings, who beat out ratcityinblue by about 1 hour, about 5 or 6 hours into the contest. We have received a few more correct answers but will take entries for the drawing up until the end of the webinar so keep trying! Right now I have correct answers from the following-

Here is a link to the Mystery Medley.

One last thing about the webinar- it will be right here on the home page at TotallyGuitars and you will be able to talk to us through a chat window. TARGET Sneak Peak

News for Friday

Friday, April 24th, 2009 by Neil

Hi Gang,

As we get closer to Sunday’s webinar things are really busy around here. I want to tell you to be sure to keep working on the Mystery Medley. As of right now we have only about 5 correct answers. That means there is 1 winner but don’t forget all other correct entries will be going into a drawing for 1 year’s access to the TARGET Program as well. I also want to share a few videos that a couple of students and a very special friend made for me…

Larry Baron talks about Neil

John Campi talks about Neil

Keola Beamer talks about Neil

Contest Extended

Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009 by Neil

Hi Gang,

Here is the latest on the contest. With 2 hours to go on the original deadline, we have no clean winner but many very close ones. The judges might have to make some hard rulings! A no brainer as far as I am concerned is that we will extend the contest. Don’t forget that the first completely correct answer gets one year membership and all other correct entries will go into a drawing for a year as well.

Folks- put on your thinking caps and do a little research as we will stretch this out as long as we have to in order to get some correct entries. We might even extend it right up to Sunday’s webinar and draw the winner live (the 2nd winner, that is).

OK- back to work… be sure to check out the rest of Lucky Man, download the Lesson Notes, and let me know what you think.

Stay tuned and in touch,

Neil
