OK, start something here,

Nashville tuning = EADG = 'smaller' strings and, tuned an octave up from "norm". Be (5th and sixth strings) regular gauge, normal tuning - sounds like a kinda sorta twelve string with only six string kinda thing. Everyone - anyone - ever or never?

Wiley,
I have a set of Nashville strings ready to go onto my GS Mini. You can hear that one of the three guitars on the Stones' "Wild Horses" is playing one along with two other guitars. Keith Richards is playing his usual G tuned guitar with no 6th string, and there is a standard tuned electric playing the lead. Really cool sound.

You had me completely bamboozled Wiley. So I looked it up. Now I understand that the replaced 6th-3rd strings are actually an octave higher than normal. Interesting

More info here, including other songs that use it.

So many things to learn, so many songs in my 'must learn queue' - if only I didn't have to sleep...wow...that would be great!

I have read that Paul Simon used nashville tuning a lot around the time of his early solo career, usually doubled with other guitars in standard tuning.

No info on which tracks but i'm guessing the likes of Me and Julio, Kodachrome , Was A Sunny Day, and Learn How to Fall.
