I just had to add this one to the thread. I hope Tony and Dennis don't mind. A simple 3 chord song...but what a great song and what a great performance from these two.....

Mind? Hell, I'm flattered that you'd want to even see it again, Daryl. Thanks for your enthusiasm.
I just watched it for the first time in about 9 months, and three thoughts come to mind: 1) I love Tony's vocals and solid tempo playing throughout the song; and 2) I wish I'd done a bit more with the lead guitar; and 3) while we look oh so serious while playing, we had a great time together and shared a lot of laughs.

Re: Busking 3 or 4 Chord Songs 7 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Hi Pat,
I've been muddling around with jazz chords lately, so I have the conceit of maybe understanding some of the effort you put into getting this far along ... very well done. That's as technical as I can get while still remaining credible.
My real suggestion to you is that you could use this result as a good excuse to justify acquiring an arch-top guitar and making this tune sound as percussive as it's meant to be. Maybe someone out there wonders what would be good for you at Xmas ?
Oh well, I guess this is something like the golden rule ... wish unto others as ...

BUMP!
7 months and three weeks is FAR too long for this monster thread to be lurking in the deep, so I'm giving it floaties.
The VERY talented Cori and Krista are working on a new contribution to this thread. I LOVE their work and can't wait to see what they come up with. Cori has also issued a challenge (in the banner thread) for others to join in the fun and to get the 3/4 chord song party kicking again. I'm game. Who else will join us?
For anyone who hasn't seen this thread, you're in for a bunch of treats. There are lots of seriously cool songs in here that have relatively few chords. The first page is an index that was created by Daryl to turn this thread into a learning resource too. Brilliant!
This is an opportunity for long time members and new people alike to post a relatively straightforward song and have some fun. It's more relaxed than posting videos for review.
So 3 or 4 chords really means - primarily a small amount of of chords; some in here have 6 and more. That's cool. Don't let the number limit what you put up if you'd like to post something.
I'm looking forward to seeing the new additions.
The gauntlet is down. Who will pick it up next? Woo hoo!
