Jeff- I don't want to rain on your parade but you have absolutely no chance of having Neil do either of those songs unless you can descibe or explain the teaching value of learning the songs. This is a teaching site not a song site and a lot of people confuse the two.
I can vouch for the fact that Neil has no interest in doing a lesson, especially a free lesson, just because he a hears a good tune. The song(s) must teach a new technique, chord sequence, strum pattern or something that makes it worthy of using as a training tool.
A lot of new forum members feel disappointed because their favorite tunes aren't embraced by Neil. Neil has at least a years worth of songs to produce for the TARGET program so if it isn't in the pipeline you simply aren't going to see it for a very long while.
If you are interested, give some serious thought to joining the TARGET program. It's fantastic and we have our own area to request songs which probably have a much better chance of making the new lesson list.
Let me know if you need any info or thoughts on the TARGET program. I joined the very first month and have never looked back!

JEFF Have faith. 2 weeks and 6 days ago as a wantabe member, I posted a request for a lesson/song by Linda Rondstat. Song was Long Long Time. Nothing realy special about the song techinecaly speaking, just a favorite of mine and as I stated in my request a beautiful song with beautiful lyrics and some basic fingerpicking. Lo and Behold on the Flip out Forum Neil and Matt end up discussing the song and Neil noodles around with it while waiting on Matt. After a brief discussion Neil mentions it may end up as a campfire song.Ya never know... I think Wildfire fall in to the same catigory as discribed above, and if the piano intro and conclusion were transposed for guitar, it think it would challange a lot of us. Addtionally there sounds like a lot of Major chords and minor chord changes so the chord changes too may be quite the learning experience. Bottom line it a beautiful song, and both Neil and Matt, as far as I can tell love guitar, and love the formum folks. Wildfire just may end up in the campfire... fun for all. Stranger things have happened around here. Frybaby
