Love this thread idea, every country can outlined his own people and then you can learn new stuff.

Want to show an old classic from the Guess Who who were among the most popular ever in Canada.

I reckon can't have a Canadian site without this woman and it's not necessarily about her music (So that must be WAY off topic):

Here's one. I believe this trio is from Canada. My wife saw them in Burlington, VT last fall. There is a definite country feel to their music, but I like them nevertheless.

That don't impress me much! Lovely lady and, sorry Canada... we have assimilated her her in Switzerland so she belongs to us now! By the way Tina Turna Lives just 10 minutes down the road (in a mate's house!!) so we're claiming her too!
One of my favourite teenage songs was from Bachman Turner Overdrive... great sound!

I guess Mr. Segovia doesn't give a damn!

Chris, Randy Bachman was the guitarist of the Guess who that you can see in the american woman video. A little younger . He also had the proper clothing compare to the others

Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and
it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an
hour, and it seems like a minute. That's relativity.

Excellent idea for thread topics! I was going to suggest something similar called 'What are you exporting'.

This will be one of many entries from me on this..

Nickelback originally from Alberta (I think)
The video is a hoot- with too many celebrity cameos to mention.
This song was written by Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top. That's his voice in the song and him in the video.

The Tragically Hip from Kingston, Ontario
Really big in Canada- but never really made a splash elsewhere.

Rush from Willowdale (near Toronto, Ontario)
Arguably having the best trio of guitar, bass and drums on the planet.

Aarg- I can't believe you beat me to Rush! My favorite band for many a year.

Anyway, it's a sorry follow-up, but how about Arcade Fire?:
