Wow! Nice video. I’m with Vanessa . . . . . nice thumb wrap on the classical guitar. It left me wondering how you accomplished it. You must have a mile-long thumb (great for hitchhiking). Do you use some medieval stretching device to get it that way? Great job on my favorite Joan Baez song. You really own that guitar . . . . . . er . . . . . both figuratively and literally.

Glad you got a kick out of the bag-o-picks. Your post on your search was the inspiration for including them with the Banner. I was afraid that the little fellas might have gotten off the bus when the Banner took its side trip between Seattle and the Quad Cities, or may have been confiscated at Customs as some sort of Rock-and Roll contraband.

Regarding the thumb thing, no I don't have an especially long thumb. I do have a freakishly long thumb nail on the other hand but that's another story. The real secret is that it's all Nessa's fault. She said she could manage the thumb wrap on her classical and so the challenge was set. I just planted my pinky and third fingers and stretched up from there. It did take a bit of practicing and focus, but came together in the end well enough.

Now...if I can just get Nessa to challenge me on each of the gazillion other awesome things she does brilliantly ... Well by the time I'm about 250 I might be as good a player as she is today.

Yes very cute bag of rock contraband. Hey ... If the pen is mightier than the sword, how mighty do you think the pick is? It got me to wondering about the amount of change that has come about in the world due to music, guitar music specifically... played by picks. Well that could be preeeeeeeety darn mighty. Yes?

Hi Jim, you will need to edit your post and either re-paste the link or simply modify it. Somehow the " [video] " added before and after the link prevent it to start directly (just delete those 2 " [video] " from the link and resubmit.

Great video, glad to finally meet you. You played very well. And also signing on your first video, that takes a lots of courage, you did well. Now that you know that you will not vanish after a video, you will have to do more (it is in your blood now ;) . Thank you very much for participating and adding your name to the banner.

That was GREAT. I loved hearing you sing and play and getting to know you better. You sounded pretty confident.

The first video is the hardest. It gets easier form here. So you decided to join the banner signing club and the video posting club in one go. Very effective! Way to go!

So now that you're out of the closet, I'm hoping we'll see more videos from you. It's a great way to progress.
