I leave for guitar camp in one month. If at all possible, I'd like to take the banner with me and have the five TG-ers who will be joining me there sign it. I'm hoping that the person who has the banner right now will read this and contact me by PM.

Dennis,

I think Chas should have it in NZ by now. Hard to tell. The plan was to bounce it back to Tony and then on to Brad to mop up the rest of Australia.(unless there are more people down under that need to sign). If that is going to happen, they'll have to treat it like a hot potato to get it back to you by then.

What say you, Chas? Any word on the Banner status? Tony, Brad is this doable?

This is a fun thread to follow but it gets a bit tough when updates are weeks apart. Don't be afraid to post a status report, even if the Banner is stuck somewhere. We all know people get busy and things sometimes don't go as planned. Besides, it's always good to hear from anyone on the site.

Hydro,

The banner is on its way back to me, whereupon I'll take it to guitar camp and collect some signatures on it, then give it to UPS to lose.

Chas,

That was very generous of you to go to the trouble to send it back to me, and I (and the boys at guitar camp) appreciate it. Thanks very much. I promise to return it as soon as camp is over with.

Don't mean to hijack this thread, but, if you are landing at camp for the July 28th thru August 3rd session, it looks like you will have the opportunity to have instruction by Pat Donahue and Wayne Henderson. I'm impressed. Those are two that I wouldn't miss!

Absolutely no problem Dennis, this fitted exceptionally well with me, I have just taken over management of the Wine store I was working in and currently on a steep learning curve, so time is precious at the moment. What I really mean is I was procrastinating lol! NOw this gives me an opportunity to actually plan my Banner video, I have already gone round and taken some panoramic views of my City, my workplace and my home; and am now working on what to actually play, I'm thinking I might intro most of my guitars with things currently working on, warts and all lol!

Apart from that your camp sounds like too good an opportunity for the banner , make the most of it those who are going can't wait to see the outcome of it all.

Maybe it's karma for the last attempt to ship the banner going so awry, but I just got word that the banner was delivered to Chas's house in New Zealand after being shipped out on -- get this! -- Monday. It made it all the way across the world and even cleared customs in a total of three days. A miracle!

Now it's up to you, Chas.

Dennis,

Thanks for the update. I noticed that the Guitar Camp video where you all signed the banner wasn't in this thread. Hope you don't mind that I put a link to it here:

The Banner has Landed!

My Wife is using it to blackmail me into tidying my new guitar room lol, can't video until room is sorted out.

We just changed the house around and my original room was on the ground floor, well away from living areas, its now on the 1st floor beside the dining/family room opening out onto the balcony should be awesome when I've finished. Also the new location inspires me more as I can now get to my guitars and still be around the better half lol!

Shouldn't be too long folks.

Thanks Dennis for prompt return, amazing how fast that traveled, arrived here Thursday.

See my previous post, its happening just not as fast as I'd like. Few issues sorting out video on new PC as old cam not compatible. The banner is safely tucked away in a vault (aka guitar room store cupboard, under humidity & temperature control))

Over a month??

I guess Neil is right, (with this speed/tempo) the banner will never reach TG-land itself.

Any Banner updates? Will it hit the road soon? Is it on the road? Who's next in line?

Hey Chas, your video doesn't need to be a masterpiece mate. Just say hi, maybe hit a few strings and sign the banner. It's all good.

There are still LOTS of people left on that list.

Go Chas, Go!!! You'll just have to imagine the very sexy and athletic cheer leader dance I'm doing right now to accompany this. (note to self, watch the ceiling fan while doing back flips) ...while typing. Multitasking, I'm very talented.

In anticipation.

Hey Shel. While we wait for the banner...how about a video of the sexy and athletic cheerleader dance? Maybe a collaboration?

I do believe the banner will return to Oz from NZ. Transitioning the banner from New Zealand to Australia is quite a feat, involving as it does a leap forward in time of about 20 years.

Anyway...looking forward to hearing that it is on the move again.
