Questions & Answers with Neil Hogan #11.0.1 Q. What are some of your favorite guitar videos? A. I have a few favorite guitar videos. One of then is the David Gilmour concert that starts out with him alone on stage with an acoustic guitar. I can”t remember what it’s called right now but I’ll track that down and fill in the details later. I also really enjoyed Jorma Kaukonen’s series of lessons. He does a great job slowing things down a bit and talking the viewer through some very cool tunes. I especially like Mann’s Fate from the first Hot Tuna album. Although not specifically guitar, The Concert For George has to be mentioned as well. I never seem to get tired of hearing George Harrison’s friends run through his songs. Special mention has to go to the rendition of Something, where Paul starts it on ukulele (which George really enjoyed late in his life), and Eric Clapton takes over in the middle. Nice contrast and very appropriate for the occasion. Additional info on guitar videos can be found at the guitar dvd link. |
