Questions & Answers with Neil Hogan - #1.6 Q. I am starting to find some information about guitar lessons online. Is this a good place to start as a beginning guitar player? A. I am also just starting to explore guitar lessons online. The more of them I see, the more I feel that I have to get involved in this type of thing. Totally Guitars is very excited about contributing to the content of musically related stuff out there on the web. Some of the lessons I have found are pretty helpful, but most of them leave something to be desired. Many times the explanations are either not very clear, or the teacher doesn’t even understand it himself or herself. This is where we are hoping to bring a higher quality of material to all the guitar students who spend a lot of time surfing the web. We are
hoping to be driven by suggestions and recommendations from our visitors,
viewers, and members. If all goes well, soon this will be a completely
interactive site where guitar players can get lessons, communicate with other
players, and even contribute their own articles and lessons. I am
having a great time putting together lesson plans for the hundreds of songs I
have been teaching over the last 35 years or so. It has been great to revisit
songs I have mostly forgotten about that still have a lot to offer guitar
students. I am also very excited to be able to help more guitarists than I can
personally see at my studio each week. Other thoughts and concerns about guitar lessons online can be found here - guitar lessons. |
