My My Hey Hey (Out Of The Blue) was written by Neil Young around 1977 when he was playing with the Ducks, a Northern California club band. We have a simple set of chords in the key of A minor- Am7, Am, G, Fmaj7, F, C, and Em7. The use of minor 7 and major 7 chords helps give the song a soft, almost jazzy feel.

Great Lesson
1st time I've tried tuning down, sounded cool, pretty simple.
Any other simple strumming songs stepped down a whole note?

Hi Neil--this is one of the first songs I started learning when I joined because I'm a Young fanatic and Rust Never Sleeps (and Live Rust) are my two fav Young albums (and this my be my favorite song next to Sugar Mountain--when are you going to teach us that?)
So...can you drop a note in here on what's new and changed in the lesson, just so we know what to look for? I've been through the videos a couple times, but am now mostly just practicing with the your tab notation...
