Dust In The Wind is a classic Travis-style fingerpicking song that is a ‘must learn’ lesson for all guitar students. It uses a steady alternating bass technique in a repetitive pattern. The main difficulty is getting it up to speed but it will come with practice. It appeared on Kansas’s 1978 album Point Of Know Return.
Neil, when I listen to you play the first stanza of the verse it sure sounds like you are plucking the high E string in the C chord along with the C on the A string
(which sounds good), but the tab shows plucking the normal C on the B string. Am I just mis-hearing what you're doing (which is not unusual for me):-) Love your site!

I am not really sure about this sound on G, but it seems to me it gets more closer to the sound when you do the arpegio for this note, hitting in the high G, first chord, third fret. Probably, I am not that good on hearing the different sounds. Is it possible for you to tell me something about it ?

Thanks, Neil. I've been working on this song by myself and was having a hard time making progress on it. This video helped a lot. I really appreciated the tip on letting those last notes ring out as open strings in certain transitions.

Thanks for the observations... Fixed!

That's weird, it's working for me, I even tried both levels of quality to see if that was causing problems. BTW I wasn't trying to be a jerk before I actually meant to put a :P at the end of my comment, but forgot. Sorry, hope it starts working for you.

Just played it again and got the same results: Part 5 played in the "Break it Down" lesson. Probably need TG tech guys to look into it.

Seems to be working to me. In fact I might have been watching the 'Break it down' video when you posted your comment ... and I just watched it again. My suggestion would be to make sure you are clicking on the right link. :)

The 8 measure Interlude is the last part on page 2 of the TAB, I think.

In the slow down play video you play it at 100bpm verse chorus and then interlude. I have downloaded the lesson note but cannot find tab for the interlude. Is it just me not being able to find it or is it not included in the tab?
