The follow up album by the same line up that did Rumours was 1977’s Fleetwood Mac. One of the songs featured on this was Lindsay Buckingham’s short guitar piece Naver Going Back Again. It is a basic fingerpicking piece that Lindsay played in Dropped D Tuning but this lesson presents an arrangement in a C Tuning- CGDGBE. This has the 5th string lowered 1 step and the 6th string lowered 2 steps. It is also known as C Wahine in the world of Slack Key Guitar. Using a capo at the 6th fret allows you to play the exact same notes Lindsay played with a little less stretching required.
OMG-How does one get this up to speed?? Can any of you play this piece at 88 bpm? And if so,how? Is it me?- I kinda think I may not have enough fast twitch muscle fibers in me fingers. Problem is it is way too cool of a song to give up on.

I just can't get my bass picking down! My thumb needs to do the 8th notes while the three fngers do 16? OMG, I think I missing this gene!

I have wanted to play this song forever, and your teaching is perfect. As someone else said, I am picking it out note by note, slowly, because I can play a cheater version right away, but I want to play it right. Can you hurry and get this up to Guitar Pro? That will help me with the couple of places where I am struggling.

I've been working at this on and off for a couple weeks: nitty-gritty measure by measure, new picking pattern, pinky pain, etc... and it's paying off! For me, this pushes my level of fingerpicking, so it feels like a substantial accomplishment... and now that it's flowing, really fun! Thank you Neil for a very thorough and follow-able lesson.

This tune is the ultimate. Love it. Now looking to buy a Borgeois cutaway, just for this. £2K is alot of muhoney! But to play this to perfection it is worth it.
