Fundamentals I- From The Beginning presents a clear and concise explanation of terms and definitions that every musician needs to understand in order to get a grasp of general principles of music theory. Neil starts with the concepts of pitch and time, and continues with information about time signatures, tuning the guitar, and how we use the alphabet in music. The student will learn a very simple way to identify all the notes on the guitar.

George Hawks here...(8/14/2013)...I never realized how important the basics were. Its important to know the fretboard up and down. Not everybody will see the value in this. In the beginning i might have skipped this over.Neil has a way of explaining things and make them crystal clear.I have been spending hours going over and over all of Neils music theory. It is my hope that others can realize this also. These lessons are worth double what they are asking for.Thank You

One tip: Choose your download speed (low, if you have a lot of buffering) BEFORE you start loading the video, not a spit second after; you'll end up w/ the higher resolution otherwise, which takes forever to load. I have Hughesnet, and I can get it to work. Seems slower on my Ipad than on my laptop, but at low it will work.
I have the same problems you guys do, but the lessons are worth figuring it out. Too bad, though, that the streaming isn't youtube quality

Let me tell you guys. If you do pay for the site it is more than worth it if you want to learn to play the guitar. I find the site easy to use. Sign in and you will be taken to a protected area and all the videos work well. I do use low resolution to eliminate buffering however.

The best plan is to contact Support, although this lesson is not part of the Free Section.
