Are there any attachments to the modes lesson? If so, could someone tell me how to access them? Thanks again.written by Veronica24, September 02, 2013
Will you provide the answer to the question you gave us at the end of part 8? i.e., what is the key and what mode should be used if the chords are Em7 and A. I'm new at this. My guess is that the Key is D and the mode is Dorian, so the notes are E, F#, G, A, B C#, D and E. Can someone let me know if I'm right? And if I'm not, please explain the answer. Thank you!written by Veronica24, September 02, 2013
George Hawks here..(8/18/2013)..I have been spending no less than an hour a day digesting all of this.Neil mentioned memorizing the modes and if it is ok i would like to tell everyone how i have done it....I believe its called mnemonics excuse me if i am wrong. I use.....I Don't Play Loud Music After Late...Ionian Dorian Phrygian Lydian Mixolydian Aeolian Locrian...On Ionian start with c and go down the line d e f g a b.I found this very helpful and i honestly made it up i did not read it and claim it as my own.I have cancer and my time is valuable so i take all of this seriously.Really hope this can help.Thankswritten by georgehawks, August 18, 2013
George Hawks here...(7/28/2013)..I had a guy who claimed to be a teacher at Guitar Center San Francisco who offered me lessons for $35.00 A half hour.He came to my place(At that time i lived a mile away).I told him i wanted to learn songs, maybe the Doobies.Stones,Journey.He told me he did not play songs and he wanted to teach me theory. What do you think it would have cost to learn what Neils teaching? All of this is more important than you may believe but not at that price.Neil knows theory like no one else.I wanted to go to school for this, it is that important. Thanks Neil you cover all the bases.written by georgehawks, July 28, 2013
