Charts, TAB, and Guitar Pro Files are only made available to our TARGET Members Red is a song recorded by the immensely popular American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift for her fourth studio album with the same name and was released as the 5th single in June 2013.

This lesson is mostly based on the acoustic version. It covers two guitar parts, the rhythm guitar and the second guitar, in the key of E and Taylor's part in the key of C, where the guitar is capoed on the 4th fret.

The song features a fairly easy chord progression using the I, IV, V and VI, with a couple of different inversions in the bridge.

The lesson takes a close look at the strumming hand since it changes from the speed of 16th's to 8th's back and forth and even from common time to half time feel and back. Also palm muting the strings is a technique to incorporate into the playing.

Hi Veronica, there are actually no chord charts attached for the lessons at TG, fingerings are usually explained in the videos, which i've done in this one as well. Like naming notes, calling out frets and which fingers to use as well. A good thing is to write it down and create your own chord charts. Listen carefully and just try it, i'm sure you'll be able to get it all down. Also you'll learn more by doing that too. If you still have questions, you might wanna post them on the forum, lots of good and supportive folks who will be willing to help you out!:) cheers!written by TGVanessa, March 06, 2014
Hi Vanessa. I am a Target member, but the .pdf posted only names the chords. I'd like to see the fingering charts. I'm not able to decipher them all by watching your video. You make it look so easy! But it isn't easy for me! Thanks again. :) written by Veronica24, March 06, 2014
Hi Veronica, the chart should be there for all Target members to download. (Or of course if one purchases it individually). Otherwise contact support. Cheers!written by TGVanessa, March 05, 2014
