TARGET Members will have any Charts, TAB, and Guitar Pro Files Most John Fogerty songs can be summed up as very tight arrangements of a common chord progression with some simple licks and fills. The opening to Who’ll Stop The Rain is a little 3-note sequence repeated over 2 chords. The chords progression just uses open chords in the key of G. The leads and fills are simple runs right out of the scale. This song is a great place for beginners to learn to change chords and keep a basic strumming pattern going, as well as explore some easy lead licks.

Another GREAT lesson Neil. First album I ever bought...in eighth grade. Cosmos Factory songs are so "tracked" in my brain that now that I am starting to learn the guitar (better late than never) they seem to come naturally. Thanks Neil. Now how about a Wilco song!written by kev59in, March 04, 2012
You know Neil, that if you used the "other" popular fingering for the open G chord, the transition to Bm would be easier. :P That being said, I still have to get accustomed to the pinky G. written by Tim Conama, June 24, 2009
