Their first album, In The Court Of The Crimson King featured *Epitaph*, sung by original bassist Greg Lake. This lesson goes over the basic chord progression, adds some arpeggio picking, and includes a look at common variations on some of the chords.

Er, Greg Lake did play it with ELP live, as part of Tarkus, at the conclusion of Battlefield. LOTS of echo on the "Confusion" line. I should know. I was there, I saw them do it.written by itfc1959, February 17, 2011
Thanks nice lesson - it would be useful to have the chord variations on the chart I think - and also for completeness I dont think Greg Lake ever sang this with ELP during Tarkus - Pictures at an Exhibition maybe and sometines in Take a Pebble - but I don't think Tarkuswritten by caperjeff, February 08, 2011
